Roaring white water, fast currents, unexpected whirlpools and waves, suddenly appearing rocks, and even waterfalls: rafting is a sport that impressively demonstrates the untamed power of nature. On par with Kitzbühel, St. Moritz, or Ischgl. Zell am See has made a name for itself as a summer and winter resort since the 1960s. Today, nearly 10,000 people live in the small town of Zell am See, at an altitude of 758m. A true “air spa resort,” as people used to say so nicely. But that doesn't quite do justice to this mountain town. With its shopping mile in the historic old town, the Viennese coffeehouse flair of the Austro-Hungarian era, and the casino, it presents itself as both cosmopolitan and youthful. Every corner is fascinating. You can find more information in our QR code under the “Zell am See” section.
